The 13-month calendar

The Sun travels through 13 constellations on its path across the sky, and the Moon circles the sky about 13 times a year. Equinox 13 starts from that rhythm: a map of the sky with its 13 constellations and a 13-month calendar that follows the cycles of nature. When you begin to live by that rhythm, you become aware of your own cycles.

The calendar of 12 months of different lengths is a convention. A calendar of 13 equal months follows the cycles of the Moon and the seasons more closely, and helps you notice which part of each cycle you are in.
